The best thing i like to eat on a rainy evening is "Bisi Bisi Bonda"(Hot Hot Bondas) on the footpath.
The one bonda centre i visit the most is in Hanumanthanagar. That guy prepares Awesome Palya bonda, Aambode, Neerulli Bajji, Menasinakai Bajji(Green Chilli bonda) and many other types of bondas.
I think thats the best thing one can wish for when its raining very heavily on a cold evening.

Vijay do u know one shop in DVG road... He does Capsicum Bonda.. That is really Awesome....
You can eat atleast 3 Capsicum bondas. But u shud be able to manage the rush!!! :)
Talking of bondas - the best I have had is the one in Hanumanthnagar - not the one you are talking of, Raghu. This one, I understand, has been around for just a few decades. The capsicum bonda is great there. But the real show stealer is the palya bonda on a rainy evening, as rightly put by Raghu. Biting cold weather and steamy hot bonda which burns your tongue! Superb!
@Raghu: No never had the capsicum bonda there... theres a guy on VV Puram food street who does this as well..
VV Puram is a swargha for thindi pothas...I saw one of your posts called Baayi chapala..Very truly a shetty contribution...and VV Puram happens to be the "focal" point of baayi chapala..!!
Yup nothing to compete with those thindis of VV puram...
The main advantage is tat you get all varieties of food in VV puram.
You get all types of doses, bisi bisi jaamun, benne gulkan,corn, chats and the list never ends!!!
But frankly, it seems to hav lost its sheen with a few places trying to modernise it...very frankly, its not the place for american sweet corn, etc...its the place if u would want to have bisi bisi idly, irulli dose, akki/ ragi rotti...etc....But place that cant be missed is - Shivanna's benne gulkan and masala soda!
